Ras Mohamed National Park in Sharm El Sheikh is Egypt’s first national park, established in 1983 at the southernmost tip of Sinai where the Gulf of Suez meets the Gulf of Aqaba. It is a living sanctuary that combines desert, sea, coral reefs, and mangroves in one destination. With more than 220 coral species, over 1,000 fish species, salt lakes, cliffs, and pink-tinged beaches, the park offers biodiversity and natural beauty that has made it one of the most famous eco-tourism sites in the Red Sea. Easily reached in 30 minutes from Sharm El Sheikh, it is ideal for half-day or full-day trips, whether by car, bus, jeep, or boat. Visitors can enjoy snorkeling, diving, hiking, birdwatching, photography, or simply relaxing by the water.
